Design & Features: • Solid 6061-T6 Aluminum VISE ATTACHABLE FIXTURE PLATE (VAFP) • Stainless steel precision ground and hardened clamping pin & hardware • BETTER THAN 0.001” REPEATABILITY - LAB TESTED! • Use ANY standard 6" Precision machine vise (KURT®, Parlec® or any inexpensive 6" vise with at least a 5" opening) • Simply remove moveable vise jaw and attach VAFP - FAST!!! • Keep the same work offsets for vise and fixture plate - NOTHING CHANGES!!! • Switch between either regular vise or VAFP in under 1 minute!!! • Attach many parts - making efficient use of your machine! • USE 2 or more VAFPs as PALLETS - Remember these have better than 0.001” REPEATABILITY!!! - MORE Spindle UP TIME!!! • For use in horizontal mills or vertical mills • Ultra THICK & Ultra Rigid for heavy machining • 10 different styles and sizes available • Ready to attach to the 6" machine vise right out of the box! Deployment: Machine shops of all sizes require various methods of work holding for their CNC Milling Centers. Currently, precision machine vises and/or aluminum fixture plates that attach directly to the machine table are used for many, if not most, production milling operations. Using machine vises severely limits the utilization of machine and labor resources, whereas directly attaching aluminum plates to the table is cumbersome and not repeatable. In some cases, modular fixturing (i.e., hard fixturing), usually reserved for larger-quantity production, maximizes machine utilization, but at high cost in both acquisition and deployment. Thus, a gap exists between the inefficient use of the machine table and the high costs of hard fixturing. Our line of Vise Attachable Fixture Plates (VAFPs) bridges this gap. The VAFP concept deployed individually or as a pallet system yields a significant boost in efficient production with very little setup and at a very low price. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unique mounting mechanism --- Patent Pending --- Two deployment methods of the Vise Attachable Fixture Plate system are available: the individual VAFP and the pallet system. First, using the VAFP individually takes advantage of the vise platform without removing it from the CNC milling center. Additionally, the VAFP used in this manner enhances the fast flexibility of the vise and expands it into the realm of the fixturing system. While in the heat of the battle, a soldier approaches his commander. He declares that he has a device that will help him fight the battle much more efficiently. Applying this device will allow them to win the battle much earlier than expected. The commander yells at the soldier, decreeing that they are in the middle of the fight and don’t have the time. This paradoxical story draws the comparison to contract machine shops in that the management never believes they have the time to consider new, although more efficient, methods of operations. Don’t be a slave to routine. Don’t lose the battle. The VAFP system is the solution for shops of all sizes. The VAFP furnishes contract machine shops with the ability to compete with other shops that have cheaper labor, more efficient equipment or both. So much time is lost when a shop pulls vises out of a machine to attach a basic fixture plate to the machine table. The time has come for contract machine shops to stop removing vises from their machines and to start winning the battle. Sizes & Styles
